Since the water bodies have been established, the property has many trees in place with cattle as part of a silvoculture holistic farm. The farm will be part of an education and healing center for people to practice yoga and to experience mind-body-spirit healing all in one place. Our clients were very excited about helping enhance the natural wildlife and restore the water accessibility for all of the wildlife as well.

Context:
This area has very extreme seasonal rains and a very extreme dry season as well. This project challenged us immensely because we were carving the water bodies into natural volcanic concrete.
Description:
Creating a holistic farm on a dry mesa that had little to no water. We (Elemental Ecosystems) developed a water retention landscape to enable them to begin their agricultural journey. We created several terraces to increase the catchment of the water features, and we installed two different water bodies as well, so all of the water is now caught in a seasonal gully.
